We are seeking a Special Effects Prop Designer for our upcoming production of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, directed by Miles Sternfeld, at Columbia University's Lenfest Center for the Arts February 2025. This position requires proficiency in creating, maintaining, and procuring props, including consumables and faux blood (blood bladders, squibs, etc.).

We currently have a SFX design consultant attached to the production, whom this SFX Props Designer would partner with closely.

• Designing, creating, and sourcing high-quality props suitable for this production's world of Sweeney Todd.
• Training the crew to manage and maintain props during rehearsals and performances to ensure consistent quality and usability.
• Monitoring, repairing, and replacing consumable props as necessary.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure safe handling and placement of props.

Payment:
This position offers a total stipend of $500.
