DESCRIPTION
The Sands College of Performing Arts at Pace University, located on the University’s campus in lower Manhattan, invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Acting in the BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voice-overs, and Commercials (FTVC) program. The position reports directly to the Chair of the Acting for Film, Television, Voice-overs, and Commercials and BFA Acting programs who, with the Dean of Sands College, oversees several Sands programs. All faculty are expected to collaborate with the other Sands College programs and production staff.
Applicants must demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile compatible with a serious training program in a leading performing arts institution. Candidates should be able to teach from a variety of approaches, utilizing a range of acting styles and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive professional postproduction experience in one or more of the following areas: screen and media, on-camera and digital mediums, behind the camera, casting and/or editing, or production.
The position requires a maximum teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester with the potential for release hours for curricular/ extracurricular production projects within the program. Other responsibilities include assisting in the recruitment process, mentoring students, training students on film equipment, and working with faculty across the entire department.

Requirements•MFA in a related field
• Experience teaching at a professional studio/theater and/or at the university level.
• Extensive professional postproduction experience in screen and media, in on-camera and digital mediums, behind the camera, in the casting and/or editing room, or in production.
