Museum of Broadway – Retail Manager – NYC

THE ROLE:

Creative Goods Merchandise, a dynamic full-service merchandising company, is currently seeking a Retail

Manager for Museum of Broadway. We are currently seeking passionate candidates that exhibit the core

The Museum of Broadway Retail Manager is a non-exempt position and is expected to manage all aspects

of merchandising for the exhibition while being an ambassador for Creative Goods and the Museum of

Broadway brand. This position serves as a main point of contact for the retail staff while maintaining clear

lines of communication at all levels, and effectively managing the day-to-day operations efficiently and

seamlessly.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Maintain on-going communication and accurate dissemination of information between on-site sales team

and the Creative Goods Corporate Staff, to ensure that all parties are informed of client needs and requests.

• Process all reporting efficiently, correctly and on-time.

• Identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities to retail staff to ensure the smooth flow of

daily operations.

• Oversee and manage all staff, as well as aid in the recruiting and onboarding of new team members, with the

assistance from Creative Goods Corporate office.

• Facilitate the scheduling of team members

• Coach and mentor staff, using a lead by example approach and maintain a positive work environment.

• Oversee visual merchandising (with direction from Creative Goods Corporate), venue and production

relations, selling, ordering, receiving, and audits of inventory, daily reporting and weekly settlement, cash

deposits, POS management, and on-site technical troubleshooting.

• Demonstrate “the customer comes first” philosophy through staff training and coaching while holding sales

associates, keyholders, and assistant managers accountable for delivering excellent customer service and

collegiality.

• Greet patrons and aid in processing all merchandise transactions

• Maintain working knowledge of all products and prices

• Ensure lines are managed while maintaining enthusiasm and poise

• Receive, process, and replenish merchandise inventory as needed

General Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred

• Strong basic math skills required

• Be able to engage with customers, team members, and management positively

• Maintain enthusiasm, charisma, and focus

• Strong organizational and communication skills required

• Entertainment experience/interest is desired, but not necessary

• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment with ease

• An organized team player, with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset

• Ability to multi-task, be efficient at time management, and must be very organized

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Working Conditions

• Ability to climb ladders and safely install display elements

• Ability to maneuver stairs

• Must be able to stand for long periods

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Job Types: Full-Time

Pay: $25 per hour
