We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Director to oversee key theatrical accounts. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Theatre, the Senior Account Director is a full-time exempt position that is based in New York City.

The Senior Account Director role requires a strategic, thoughtful leader who can drive end-to-end campaign development, build and maintain strong client relationships, and ensure projects meet not only client objectives and timelines, but a high standard of creativity and forward-thinking that defines AKA’s approach. The ideal candidate will bring industry knowledge, creativity, and a passion for theatre to inspire teams and deliver results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • CLIENT RELATIONS:

  • Serve as the primary, trusted contact for key clients and maintain excellent service standards to ensure client needs and objectives are met

  • TEAM MANAGEMENT:

  • Oversee client account team, project management, and client communications for select accounts

  • Contribute to the agency’s commercial and business objectives, managing budgets and forecasting efforts

  • STRATEGY:

  • Deliver sound strategy, insights, guidance, and recommendations across select key accounts

  • CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT:

  • Oversee and drive omnichannel campaigns, integrating creative, production, content and other agency services, to ensure alignment with client objectives, budgets, and timelines

  • Oversee special projects and agency initiatives as assigned

  • INDUSTRY POSITIONING:

  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other industry players, positioning the agency as a valuable partner

  • Represent the agency at industry related events

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 8+ years in a senior advertising, marketing role or promotional role, servicing the Broadway, off-Broadway, touring or other related entertainment industries, ideally with 2-3 in a role with leadership responsibilities.

  • Sound theatrical industry knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of cross-platform advertising campaigns, especially digital media platforms

  • A commitment to deliver strategic, innovative, and effective integrated media campaigns for our clients

  • The ability to inspire both clients and colleagues to deliver the best work

  • A collaborative approach to problem solving and trouble shooting

  • The desire to assist in positively expanding the agency’s profile in the industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information clearly

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships and deliver against client needs

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Social Networking platforms

  • A competitive salary between $125,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience
